The Schumer Plan is NOT “Comprehensive Immigration Reform”.  It will lead to an increase in raids and punishment of immigrants.

Arizona lawmakers last week approved a bill against undocumented immigrants, directing local police to determine whether people are in the country legally.  Immigrant rights groups were outraged, and pointed out that Arizona would be transformed into a police state with this bill, which mandates racial profiling.   The bill requires police who decide they have a “reasonable suspicion” that someone is an undocumented immigrant to determine the person’s immigration status, and demand their “papers”.

We  can’t ignore the menace presented by Arizona’s racist police state in our midst.  We must act now.
