A Panel Discussion on Persian Gulf and US Foreign Policy in the Middle East

BUFFALO, NY, April 7, 2010 – On Monday, April 12, 2010 The Western New York Peace Center and International Institute of Buffalo will be having A Panel Discussion on the Persian Gulf and US Foreign Policy in the Middle East. The Location has changed to Olmsted Center for Sight (1170 Main Street) in Buffalo, NY and will begin at 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm.
The discussion will focus on the Persian Gulf & US Policy, examining Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict. During the discussion the four panelists will have 10 minutes to speak followed by 40 minutes of discussion. The Panel includes the following speakers for each country:
- Iran: Keith Henderson is a Professor of Political Science and has traveled to Iran and done extensive research on Iran.
- Iraq: Bill Marx is the co-chair of Pax Christi of WNY has traveled to Iraq and worked as a peace activist and Anti-Violence Project facilitator.
- Palestine/Israel: John Lloyd is a local teacher who has taught in Palestine for a year and has been an activist and speaker for the Palestinian cause.
- Afghanistan: Anthony Agnello is a teacher, President of Friends of Afghanistan and former Peace Corp volunteer who has worked in Afghanistan to build schools.
Directions:
Olmsted Center for Sight is located on Main Street, just north of Summer Street, in a gray and red building. The back entrance to their parking lot can be reached by Linwood Ave.
